How to use
Communication is initiated from the gate station by selecting a 3 digit code such as 001 or 901 and pressing the # button. Only the selected houses handset will ring and communication is established. Communication is simplex so only one person can speak at a time but the gatestation’s microphone is always active so the visitor does not have to press any key to speak. The inside handset can enter into the conversation at any time by pressing a PTT button.

Multiple handsets can be added for the same house to have internal communication. There is a handset calling button which works on push-to-talk.

An extra gate station (back gate station) can be added for instance on the inside to notify houses when the visitor is leaving or on additional gates. All the same handsets can be called. Gate opening is only possible from a back gate if a call is in progress.

Programming is done manually or via PC. Programming mode is protected by a pin. Names and numbers are entered with the keypad. The PC programming kit is needed for large systems or when a back gate station is used.

Is There Still Needs for Desktop Application in Today 's World

In our world today, every activity is happening online such that people no longer find desktop application useful. But this is not the case as each has its strength and weakness. In an online applications, most of the heavy processing is handled by the service provider, which minimizes the requirements on your system configuration. Desktop applications require high memory and processing speed for complex applications like graphic design. The advantage of the desktop application is its independence from internet connectivity and bandwidth considerations. Online applications rely upon the internet infrastructure for data transport and content rendering. Desktop applications offer higher security than online application as it is free from malicious activities of the so-called bad guys and possible virus attacks. Online application can be very frustrating especially when internet connections are slow or unavailable but this is not the case with desktop application. It is very easy to maintain online application,for example through the use of CMS unlike desktop. In summary, desktop application is still relevant in our world toady. A wise decision would be for a company to acquire both if affordable.
